Congratulations to legendary LOS ANGELES jock, and current SIRIUS FIRST WAVE morning magician RICHARD BLADE who was presented with THE AMERICAN DJ ASSOCIATION Lifetime Achievement Award TUESDAY night. Said BLADE, "Does that mean I can die now? The award was a surprise -- I had been invited down to speak to the association and at the end of my speech and the Q&A they stepped up and presented me with the award. Very touching. To be called an inspiration and positive role model is something my mum, dad and RICK CARROLL would have been proud to hear."

The Blade Achievement Award! Last week the American DJ Association (ADJA) presented Richard Blade with a lifetime achievement award. “Does that mean I can die now as a dj?” quipped Richard. “The award was a surprise. I had been invited down to speak to the association and at the end of my speech and the Q&A they stepped up and presented me with the award. Very touching. To be called an inspiration and positive role model is something my mum, dad and Rick Carroll would have been proud to hear.” After more than twenty-five years in radio and TV and achieving some of Southern California's highest ever audience ratings, this award was overwhelming approved by the ADJA.
